Discover Porto

A Journey Through History, Culture, and Coastline

This is undoubtedly one of the most popular and captivating tours, offering a comprehensive overview of Porto and its beautiful surroundings. We begin with a convenient pick-up from your hotel and head straight to the iconic Porto Cathedral. From this historic site, you’ll enjoy stunning views over the Douro River's left bank and the Sé district's charming houses—the oldest in the city. Just a short walk away, we’ll pause at the magnificent São Bento train station to admire its famous "azulejo" tile panels, a masterpiece by artist Jorge Colaço. Next, we visit the lively Bolhão Market, where you’ll discover a beautifully renovated space filled with the best local produce and traditional Portuguese gastronomy. You’ll even have a chance to sample some delicious regional treats! Our journey continues through the heart of Porto. We’ll pass by the iconic Clérigos Tower and one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world—Livraria Lello & Irmão, founded in 1906 and a true architectural gem. We then descend toward the river, weaving through the colorful Miragaia neighborhood and cruising along the scenic waterfront to Foz do Douro. In the historic district of Foz Velha, you’ll get a feel for Porto’s maritime roots before we travel along the Atlantic coast toward Matosinhos. Here, we’ll pause for lunch—around one hour—to enjoy the local flavors. Afterward, we return to Porto’s historic center, crossing the bridge into Vila Nova de Gaia on the left bank of the Douro. We’ll stop at a breathtaking viewpoint that offers panoramic views over both cities. From there, we continue along the river, passing the famous Port wine cellars, and journey toward São Pedro de Afurada, a traditional fishing village known for its fresh seafood and authentic charm. We’ll take a short break here to soak in the atmosphere. To wrap up our tour, we’ll head to the river’s mouth at Praia do Cabedelo—a perfect spot to relax, enjoy the sea breeze, and capture unforgettable photos. We offer limited availability, small-group exclusivity, Port wine tastings, hotel pick-up, and sustainable electric transport.
