Full Day Experience

This is undoubtedly one of the most popular tours. It gives you an overview of the city of Porto and its surroundings. We start the tour with a pick-up at the hotel and head towards Porto Cathedral. Here you'll have time to admire the beautiful scenery on the left bank of the River Douro, as well as the houses of the Sé district, the oldest in the city. Not far from there, we'll take a break at São Bento train station, where we'll admire the tile panels by the painter Jorge Colaço. We then head to the Bolhão Market to discover its renovated space and the best the region has to offer its fantastic gastronomy! Here you'll find a bit of everything and you can even try some typical delicacies. We now head to the other side of the city, where we can see the Clérigos Tower and then one of the most beautiful bookshops in the world, Livraria Lello & Irmão (founded in 1906). We went down to the riverbank, through the Miragaia neighborhood, and then along the waterfront to Foz do Douro. We'll visit the historic district of Foz Velha and then continue along Porto's Atlantic avenues to Matosinhos. We'll take a break here for lunch, approximately 1 hour. We return to the historic center, along the riverbank, cross the bridge to the left bank of the river Douro, and enter Vila Nova de Gaia. We'll take a break at a unique viewpoint with a breathtaking view over the two cities. We then continue along the river bank, past the Port wine cellars, and start the route along the left bank of the Douro. We arrive at São Pedro de Afurada, a typical fishing district with its fresh fish restaurants, where we will take a short break. Afterward, we'll continue to the mouth of the river, more precisely to Praia do Cabelo, an excellent place to watch the sea and take pictures to remember it later.
