Highlights of Porto
This route is undeniably the most popular and best-selling eco-friendly option! Join us for a special tour through Porto's historic center, where we'll explore the narrow streets of old neighborhoods like Sé, Miragaia, and Vitória. During the tour, we'll make brief stops to visit and admire the magnificent tile panels in the entrance hall of S. Bento Station, considered by some historians to be one of the most beautiful train stations in the world. We'll travel through the city center in an electric E-Mehari, passing by famous landmarks such as the shopping street Rua de Santa Catarina, Mercado do Bolhão, Café Majestic, and Batalha Square, where we'll catch a glimpse of the remarkable building of the National Theater of S. João. Heading south, we'll make a mandatory stop at the viewpoint of the Serra do Pilar in Vila Nova de Gaia, offering stunning views of the Douro River and the Luiz I Bridge. Returning to the north riverside bank, we'll pass through the historic area, head down to Aliados Avenue, and take a look at the impressive building of Porto's City Hall. Continuing our tour, we'll visit a very special neighborhood where one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world is located. Nearby, we'll make a stop at the amazing viewpoint of Virtudes Gardens in the Miragaia neighborhood. If you haven't seen the highlights of Porto, this is the perfect tour for you! 10:00 AM - Pickup/Meeting Point
The tour starts with a pick-up from the customer’s hotel.
10:15 AM - Sé do Porto (Stop)
The place where the Cathedral is located is special, it is in the oldest part of the city, the Pena Ventosa Hill. The construction of this building began in the 12th century
10:20 AM - Estação de São Bento (Pass by)
The São Bento station is considered one of the most beautiful stations in the world, and inside you will be dazzled by the 20,000 tiles painted by Jorge Colaço.
10:30 AM - Mercado do Bolhão (Pass by)
The Bolhão Market is an iconic building of the city, worth a visit, it was recently remodeled, dating back to 1914.
10:45 AM - Rua de Santa Catarina
On the way, we pass Santa Catarina Street, the main traditional shopping street of the city.
11:00 AM - Miradouro da Serra do Pilar (Stop)
We cross the bridge to Gaia to see the view over the two banks of the Douro River. One of the highlights of the tour!
11:20 AM - Lello bookstore (Pass by)
One of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. Let’s have a look at the surrounding area too.
11:30 AM - Passeio das Virtudes (Stop)
Stop at this amazing viewpoint overlooking the Miragaia district and the Douro River.
11:50 AM - Praça Infante D. Henrique
In this beautiful square in the historic center, we find three must-see buildings, the Stock Exchange Palace (Palácio da Bolsa), the Ferreira Borges Market, and in the corner is the S. Francisco Church.
12:30 PM - Drop off
